Tim,

You didn't say how many holes you had to deal with, or what size. Have you 
considered soldering the holes closed? I've done it to repair pin holes in 
other tanks, and it holds up very well if done right. Just don't use any 
type of open flame when soldering. And of course...... don't try to weld 
it.  You will definitely wind up with a lot bigger hole, plus the cost of 
your hospital stay will be quite expensive (if you survive).
