To the best of my knowledge, none of the IH "letter series" tractors had 
factory three-point hitches. But if yours has a three point hitch, it 
might very well be an after-market kit, like the one I installed on my 
Super M, not a "homemade" adapter. Worksaver and Saginaw still sell 
three point kits for older IH tractors.
