[Farmall] New Archives Webpage

Actually the endowment for the IH-McCormick archivist does not even cover
the expenses to make it full time. Lee has to do other jobs at the society
to be a full time employee.
The WHS is a state historical Society with funding coming from Wisconsin
tax payers and private donations. As with all state agencies every where in
the country we are hurting for money.
Another great Historical Society is Minnesota and they are on life support
right now. I was just told about another great state Historical society
that has cut their archive library hours down to 10 hours a week. Remember
that money from endowments is generated by how well the investments do. How
well is your 401K doing?
We could have 20 full time people working in the IH-McCormick Collection and
in a life time we would only have dented the information in the collection.

Mike

I thought they had enough funding given to them along with the data from the
McCormick family. What is the full story with the archives?
