I have a 2001 7.3L at about 200,000 miles and had to put a new cam sensor in at @ 100,000 . Otherwise still starts on the "Global WarmingLess" days. Is a little rough idle for a few seconds but guess injectors or pump might be a little weak after almost 10 years and 200,000 miles. I bought a new 2008 6.4L and is is a good truck -twin turbo but about 3mpg less until factory required upgrade and now about 6 mpg less than 2001 7.3L. I was told I would get about 1 mpg better fuel performance when they put the upgrade in but, it dropped about 5-6 mpg. I got one (notice) for my 2001 but I told them--no thanks.. it runs too good for you to mess it up.Looks like I need to get down to one truck so I guess the 2001 will have to be put on the Barrett-Jackson block..lol

I think the body would hold oyt 'til 800,000.. mine is still tight as new and it has pulled a lot of tractors behind it
