lots of black plastic garden mulch out there, 1 mil to 6 mil, & varied prices.  Harris seed co. has 1 mil 4' X 600' for $49.95 -don't know what the shipping would be- have seen some as low as $25.00 in 18" to 3' width's in heavier stock, all depending on use (or re-use).
