[AT] Change - way off topic

You're dead right about the security Cecil and on top of that, if you ever
sign in to any of the applications or games on FB you give up the right to
all of the personal info, photos and everything you have on your page.
Folks, sometimes close friends, send you "gifts" or "cards" on there and you
hate not to accept them but in order to you have to click on an
acknowledgement that in the fine print gives away all of your data. The
basic Facebook is ok if you don't put too much info in your profile and
don't say something stupid. I'm even selective about who I accept as a
friend. We all know folks that we are somehow connected to and might even
like but wouldn't want to be associated with. Well make them your Facebook
friend and you just connected them and everything they do and say to you. I’m
shocked at some of the things kids say, even some fairly nice kids, showing
pictures of them making out with their boyfriends or girlfriends, using fowl
language. They think just their friends see it. They forget it's going to
show up in a background search some day when they apply for a job. I heard
some "expert" on the radio the other day that predicted that most young kids
coming along these days will need to change their names by the time they
graduate from college because of their internet record.

I don't do the texting as I can't read the screen good enough in the
daylight. It is hard enough to use my survey system controller when I have
to read something on a screen in the daylight. I have to use a milspec phone
to even get a signal here in OK. I read the tesxt messages when I have
nothign else to do or cannot get rid of all the messages in my phone. I
got a facebook account because of a former firm I used to work for. I don't
use it as I don't have that much I want people to know about me. All
someone has to do is hack into facebook and then know when someone is gone
to clean out their place....

Cecil (an old dinosaur) in OK
