I've heard of using Hy Tran, biggest problem is keeping it in there, most of the
seals will let it leak out.

I don't want to start a big debate, but I would run Hy-tran in the transmission
especially if you run it
in cold weather.

Engine oil is SAE 30, and is checked via the 2 petcocks on the side of
the oil pan.  Transmission, differential, belt pulley, and pto all have
a common oil supply.  That is 90 wt gear oil and is checked via a small
pipe plug low on the left side near the front of the transmission.  It
is filled via the round plug with 3/4 inch square recess near the
sterring wheel support.  Most people are very negligent aobut the tranny
oil on them, and it probably needs changed, but it takes about 6 gallons
if I remember correctly.  Most oil suppliers and farm supply places have
it in 5 gallon buckets a lot cheaper than the little quart bottles sold
at WAlly World, Autozone, etc.

the engine as well as in the Transmission/ Differential. Furthermore can
somebody advise as to how I check my filling levels?
