If you can't wait for it to dry a bit you might want to limit the number of 
nails/bolts you put in it until it drys and come back and add more later. 
There are two ways to look at that.  One approach is bolt it down tight so 
that it doesn't warp, bow or cup as it drys.  The other is to use a minimum 
of fasteners so that it doesn't split on the bolt/nail holes as it dries. 
At least that's the way I see it.
