Just the opposite up here in Sask. 4WD articulated is king of the fields. 
That or crawler rubber tracks.  And just try to find a good used air seeder 
or drill under 40 feet. Its  not easy. Theres several operators running 64 
foot drills. I get by with my little 28 foot so far.
