Those new transmission pans must be pretty poor material if they leak at
75,000 miles. I've got vehicles almost 30 years old with no leaks (yet).

One item I did not see mentioned in this latest thread on trans. fluid
change/flush is the fact that when you change fluid in the trans. after
about 75,000 miles you may find the trans. pan will leak. As it was
explained to me, the gunk in the bottom of the pan seals the pin holes &
onjce disturbed the pan will leak. I have found this true in Chrysler/Dodge
mini-vans, but the tech told me it is true of many vehicles. So probably if
you haven't changed things recently best to drop the pan & replace it- would
have saved me some time & mess!
