It will use about the same amount of fuel as it does doing most any 
other kind of work, depending on the load on the generator, of course.

For my purposes, I generally figure on 1 gallon per hour for my diesel 
tractor running the backup generator. But that is for a Farmall 560D 
running the whole house.
