[Farmall] Oil for Cub Engine

In PA to have a total rebuild it cost approx. $1500.00. That's new
everything (pistons, valves, etc.) You will end up with a brand new engine
that will run for many years if you take care of it (change the oil, etc.)
I totally tore down my 1950 Cub and put new rings and bearings in it. While
I hade it torn down, I used kerosene and cleaned all the oil ports and the
inside of the block to get rid of years of sludge. Now it does not burn
oil, has excellent oil pressure and runs real strong. While I had it apart I
put a new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing in it also. The total
cost was around $550.00

Good set of photos :-)

Can I ask those who've worked on a Cub engine in the last year or so,
approximately what it costs - I'm clueless on costs of machine shop
work, but I see online it seems like

Gasket Set ~ $80-$90
Big End Bearings ~ $50
Main Bearings ~ $50 - $70
Piston Rings ~ $50

So just there it's looking like $230 - $260 without anything to do
with Valves, nor pistons or crankshaft.

I suppose it's too optimistic to think that some of those -.002"
bearings would do the trick, but one never knows I suppose.
