Roy:

A 1000 watt heater is one kilowatt.  One kilowatt for one hour is one
kilowatt-hour (KW-hr).  Look at your electric bill and see what they
charge you for a KW-hr.  I know mine is way more than 7-10 cents.
Closer to 20.
