Kevin,
Am I glad we don't have that kind of weather. We do have have some
powerouttages though, due to wind, snow or lightning. We've had a
cheap chinese generator for more than three years now. It has worked
without a problem (knock on wood). The tank takes about eight gallons,
thats handy cause a tank last more than 24 hours it gives 5500 watt
three phase 220V continously. It is able to feed anything I have at
home though not all at the same time. The downside is that it's real
heavy since I of course always keep the tank filled. I also have some
extra 20-30 gallons and that is no problem if you always use the
oldest gas.
