Sorry, I hit the touch pad by mistake....The steel plate I bought to make a  
flywheel puller just fit into a plastic rectangular dishpan.  I bolted a  long 
stud to it which extended above the water.  I insulate the plate  from my 
part and put another stud into the part.  The electrodes were  clamped unto the 
studs.  I used washing soda which is readily  available.  Like I said it was 
not quick, but after two days I was  amazed.
