Looks pretty bad alright. Maybe check the plunger connecting rod bearings
for wear . Also on the New Holland I had there were adjustments to keep the
plunger running straight and tight, no side play. I have seen fence pickets
picked up and cut off pretty clean by that old Holland plunger knife.
