[AT] Pressure washers

LOL!  This thread brings back memories of my days of doing warranty repairs.  Too many people have the idea that if a little pressure is good, then a lot should be better.  Unfortunately, all I could see from the units coming through the shop for repair is that the additional pressure got the owners into irreversible trouble faster.  One of the situations was where the owner "couldn't resist" the temptation to use the pressure washer ON the pressure washer while it was running!  We scrapped the whole unit.  The engine "ingested" water and was beyond economical repair in a matter of seconds.  It stopped running of course, but it was ruined before it could stop rotating.

The owner clamed he was simply using the pressure washer and the wind blew a cloud of water toward it.

Sure!
