When my boss built a new Jeep/Chrysler dealership 5 years ago, they
installed a waste oil burning furnace. He claimed that the use of the
waste oil from servicing cars would more than pay for the system in a
very short time. As it happened, the price of furnace oil doubled
shortly afterwards, so he lucked out in that area. Unfortunately, the
recent crash of the automotive sales business hasn't been as kind.
