[AT] OT : problems with rv ac portland coming soon .

   Getting ready for portland , the wife has been grumbling about not 
haveing ac so I broke down and bought one of the quiet type 3000 watt 
generators . This one even has a 30 amp receptacle just for rv s .  The co 
advised to install a extra starting capacitor in the circuit to get the ac 
running . Done .    Anyhow when I turn the ac on the gen rumbles for about 2 
seconds then dies .   Anyone got any ideas ?
Generator idle control  is turned off  I go to the fan seting give it a 
couple seconds delay before switching to ac .
  I have a outside receptacle installed for plugging the rv into when were 
home , its only a 15 amp circuit but it will run the ac with no problems .
