1963 or something.. you have it about right.

Hmmm.. spin flywheel, engage some gear  to start?

  My '51 McCormick has a crank feature, but a starter also. i hope to  
not need to start it by hand.  Mine has battery, alternator and coil  
ignition, not the  magneto.
