Skip,  thanks for the link to Chief Architect.  I'd never seen it before. 
It is in a totally different league than sketch-up.  Sketch-up is meant to 
do very fast conceptual work and not the detailed drawings that it appears 
Chief Architect will do.

I think I'll try chief architect at some point.
