My VAC Case which would run better if it had an engine
:-)
has been sitting in the same spot in the barn lot since I got it and
naturally it was in the way every time I turned around. Today I had
Diana walk down to the west barn down the road with me and I had her
drive the Fergie back to the house so she could get the feel of the
clutch. We haven't owned a stick car or pickup truck for a long time
and she is pretty badly out of practice. I might add that she has no
desire to ever go back to a stick vehicle.
:-)
I had her stop it in front of the VAC and I got a chain out of one of
the trucks and hitched it up. To prove that I really can actually
learn some things along the way I made it a point to roll the Fergiie
forward by hand to get all of the slack out of the chain. Been there,
done that with her pulling me before... Bought a repair link for the
chain I used then.
:-)
It took a good tug to get it moving since it had sat and since it was
on three flat tires (2 on the back) that wouldn't hold cats let alone
air.
We had to pull it out around the buildings due to my having put up a
good bit of horse fence and son Scott and I installing some tile ditch
and water line that I didn't want to drive on yet. The Ferguson ran
beautifully and was quite strong just running at a fast idle.
The VAC didn't ride very smoothly on those flat rears. I can tell now
that it will need a new seat bucket for it since my bucket is bigger
than its bucket.
