I would like to add that Don Hunter is aiming to
bring the Holt steam tractor replica to the Heidrick
Ag History Center's annual show, which this year will
also be the annual meeting and show of the Antique
Caterpillar Machinery Owner's Club. The show will be
at the Dan Best Ranch in Woodland on June 20-22. Dan
Best, Sr., who just died about a month ago, was the
son of C.L. Best, the founder of the Best half of
Caterpillar. The show is shaping up to be a once in a
lifetime collection of rare and unusual Holt, Best,
and Caterpillar machines, including operating
harvesters. Believe it or not, there are machines
coming in from as far away as Australia.

Since the Best Ranch is only about 4 miles away from
our place, I am looking forward to bringing a bunch of
machinery, including my Case thresher, John Deere
grain binder, Fageol tractor, and several other
tractors and plows. I don't have any Cat equipment,
but the show is open to all makes and models. If you
can possibly attend, don't miss it. There is more
information at http://aghistory.org
