Kevin,
A good engine is worth it's weight in .... iron! It sounds like you
switch and swap parts and engines pretty easily.
Thanks for the info on the WK 40. I've heard of the dual fuel
engines. A fine thing to have back when kerosene was much cheaper
than gas. I found a picture of a 1936 WK 40 at a show. Has steel
wheels and a crank it to get it started. I guess you'd be worn out
after a day on that thing!
Too bad about the iron thieves stealing your stuff .. did they take
the whole truck, or just the hoist? At our new place, the barn has
plenty of room for our tractor, so it will stay in there for sure.
Also, we have some dogs that sound off when anyone comes around. We
are going to have a perimeter fence with front yard gate, so that may
keep some folks off the place. My wife has talked about getting an
Anatolian Shepherd to guard the ponies and sheep, but I think maybe we
have enough dogs now. Basically, no strange person or animal will get
past an Anatolian on guard duty.

I found some pictures of the F 20. Learned it was Farmall's first
production all purpose tractor and used in the 1930's. Very nice
looking tractor.. good luck buying it.
