[AJD] Removing clutch from a rusty old B

I have been struggling for the last three days trying to remove a clutch
from a rusty old B.


 I'm beginning to
think this is a lost cause.  On the top section of page 30 of the John Deere
B parts catalog - Pulley Clutch Diagram.  I have removed everything down to
the and including the second Facing Clutch.  The next thing to remove per
the diagram is the retainer bearings.  Things are pretty rusted and nothing
wants to give.  Is there any trick to this or special tool required?  Any
suggestions on how to proceed  What a pain this whole operation has turned
out to be.
