Another correction, neither trucks nor railroads pay taxes, only consumers pay taxes.  The truck and rail taxes are just a cost of doing buisiness passed on in their charges. 

Actually farmers pay taxes too, when someone else sets the price of what we sell, it's hard to pass along our expenses.  And we get to pay the full 15% "self employment" tax.  I tried to say I was actually employed by the bank, but it didn't work.
