Lew,
	The warranty would start from the date of purchase on your sales  
receipt. That being said, Jerry's advice is probably correct. Even  
though the warranty would be the same, a new one MAY last longer than  
one manufactured/shipped 3 years ago!

PS, Why would the warranty be less on a if the battery was installed  
on a tractor? If, indeed, that is the case why would you tell anyone  
that it was in a tractor when you took it in for warranty exchange?
