[AT] Ralph Goff CLOSE THE DOOR

Heat and cold are funny. When I was in the military I enjoyed assignments
in hot locations (southern Arizona) and cold (northern Greenland), and got
used to them both. Hot is probably easier for me to deal with, all in all,
but the cold wasn't as bad as I'd expected. Funny thing was that I was
almost never as cold in Greenland as I sometimes get here in Ohio, because
up there I was never tempted to run errands in just a light jacket while
it's 36 and drizzling. Still, even with a parka and mukluks, when 30-below
wind hits you in the face you know it's pretty chilly out...

Tractor content: Here's a photo of me on an IH TD-18 crawler dumped at the
edge of a landfill at a long-abandoned communications site up in Greenland,
during a no-kidding beautiful and warm summer day up there.

Al, we don't agree there. If I get too hot in the summer I can jump in the
water and cool off. If I get too cold in the winter I can't warm up that
easily! I've been so hot I nearly passed out but never so hot that I hurt
all over and was at a risk of loosing toes and fingers. Give me the heat!
I'll deal with it.

Charlie
