Roy,

I am a dealer for several aftermarket/reproduction parts companies. I can
get you a nice reproduction gauge for your W4 for $49.95 + shipping. If you
are interested, you can contact me off list.

Speaking of parts and prices:

The temperature gauge on my '51 IHC W-4 worked when I first ran the
tractor in warm weather. Now it does not budge. A peek under the
engine cover shows that there's a little tube from the gauge to a
fitting on the block. I assume it's a pressure driven thing that has
some expandable fluid in a bulb in the block.

Is this a hard part to find? If so, are there substitutes I could
find? Seems like it might be a part common to some decades of tractors.
