I would love to attend the show at Portland. Someday.... I used to
travel across the US several times a year. I once brought a Fire truck
back from ount Holley NJ and also picked up a generator that a fellow
from Indianapolis Indiana dropped off at Farmer's house one day since I
was running late with the fire truck. The last long trip I made was
from Oklahoma City to Boston, and the computer routed me through Upstate
NY... It took almost 3 days! I saw some of the most beautiful country
and farmland that I have ever seen. I came back through Canada and got
to experience Niagara Falls, and also the Henry Ford Museum. However,
it was time to sow the 30 acre patch of wheat and my father had screwed
up so many things around here that it took 3 weeks to get it
straightened out. All he had to do was leave it alone until I got back.

That is why I can no longer travel or be gone very long. I never know
what he is going to tear up. I don't worry about him hurting himself,
he is too tough for that. It is just when he gets a notion to burn the
trash, I have lost most of my retirement projects to the last fire he
started....

I have noticed that I have posted a few times and it seemed like the
responses ended or I was ignored and I have been around on this list for
nigh on 10 years.. I remember needing some help and posting a question
and after getting 2 responses, someone highjacked the thread subject and
I never did get an answer. I certainly hope we do not appear to be one
of those coffee shop groups that stare at the stranger who comes in to
pay for his gas and get a cup of coffee but gets stared by so many
grouchy old farts that he takes off and does not come back. That's how
I feel in this small town I live near...........

I don't know where this is going, but you all have fun at Portland and
if I can ever get there in person, I will, otherwise I will be with you
guys in spirit...
