[Farmall] F20 question

Work in restoring our 1928 regular continues but slowly. Houston heat and non ac shop area pretty much drives you out during the day. My question is this. Did later F20's have some arrangement to supply oil to the valves. The reason I'm asking is this. The regulars and at least the early F20's depended on the operator loading oil into the wicks in the oiler trays through fittings in the covers. We needed to replace the cover, it had rusted out sitting outside for who knows how long. We wound up with two replacements. One with a dent and another in very good shape but with extra drilled holes in it. They look as if they were set up for oil lines that ran up outside of the engine and perhaps flooded or dripped into the head area.

Can't find any reference in the literature about this. Suspect that it was not an IH change but an aftermarket or owner created modification.

Is there any insight out there on this?
