We also called it "Drip" gas and it found its way into all the combines-why I do not know because, they were hard enough to start on regular gas. I thought it was used in them to keep certain ones from stealing the gas out of the combine tanks....lot more in the combine tank than in the tractor. Sure did not run good in a car but did run.

I wonder if this is what we used to refer to here as "distillate".? My Dad
used to burn distillate in his John Deere D when he first had it and it
worked well. Started on gas, switched to distillate when it warmed up
enough. Radiator shutters were necessary as I recall. In later years he
converted it to run on gasoline only which I believe involved a carburetor
and/or manifold switch.
