Buy it? You bet!
Coincidentally, I've just begun a H project, sn 4496 making it a 1939.
On ebay a few weeks back 2 were listed as project tractors, both
disassembled, one was partially painted and ill health given as the reason
for selling. Minimum bid was $2000 and buy it now price of $2500.
Auction closed with no bids. I waited about a week and contacted the seller
thinking of offering $1500 for both.
He was firm on the $2000 but offered to include a third one with the
guarantee of enough parts to make 2 complete with parts left over and he
actually delivered them! All three are electric start on one of them is a
"BN".
1001 of those made, but I am doubtful they are sought after by collectors as
it is UGLY!
Meanwhile I'm in the H business.
Good luck with yours...
BTW there will be an extra case.............
Dave
