Bob's list looks right.  The F-12 and F-14 filter mount is considerably
different.  The pot metal mount was a real weakness on the F-series
tractors.  I've never found one that wasn't deformed quite a bit from
overtightening, and they are frequently cracked.  If they aren't too badly
distorted, I have repaired them by filling the O-ring groove with JB Weld
and re-cutting the grove using a custom made tool on my milling machine. 
There's little hope of getting the gasket to seal when the outside lip of
the mount is bent downward 1/8"

It isn't unusual to look over three or four filter mounts (either F-20 or
F-12 style) to find one that is rebuildable.  It's worth picking them up
at swapmeets whenever you find one.  Incidentally, there are at least
three different styles of F-12 and F-14 filter mount.  Two different
gaskets to mate with engine block.
