I agree with Dave's sarcasm, it's a brilliant idea.  Read all about it at
snopes.com.  It's surfaced every year since at least 2001.  There's a pretty
good argument it would raise spot prices, and an even better argument that
it won't make a rat's ass worth of difference.

The only one who might get hurt is your neighbor who owns or manages or
works at the corner gas station and is just trying to make a living.

Boy-o-Boy John this really sounds like a good idea. I'm with you all the way
on it! However, I've checked my 401K plan and a good amount of it is
invested in EXXON/MOBIL. Can you please tell me what effect this will have
on my 401K? Thanks!
