[Farmall] 420 issues

I have my 420 apart. All the wires appear to be shot.
My biggest problem is the glow plug wiring. The plugs are rated at .9 volts.
Since they are in series does that mean I need about 3 volts to power them?
I can build a voltage divider to provide 3 volts - will this work?
