[AT] waste oil burner

My cousin used an old cast iron wood furnace in his shop for a few
years. They drilled and tapped a fitting on the top and middle of the
furnace so the oil would run directly into the center of the
furnace. Nothing actually stuck out into the firepot. I don't remember
where the control valve was located; however, I do remember their biggest
problem was that as the stove heated up the oil would run faster and faster
until the stove would overheat and they would constantly have to adjust the
flow. Maybe they could have fixed the problem by relocating the flow
valve, I just don't remember that detail well enough. As he hired more
help and became more able to afford things, he removed the oil burner and
installed overhead gas furnaces.
