Hi Joe,
         Yes, 3 bars indicates grade 5. I think you are attempting 
"overkill" with the grade 8 you are looking for. If you have your heart set 
on grade 8, use a standard bolt!

PS, I'd use standard bolts in any event. As someone stated earlier, you 
will be able to get them off in 5 years w/out a "hot wrench!"
