[AT] to use IE7

There's a book from O'Reilly called "Windows Vista: The Missing
Manual". Take a look at it. I've read it about three times in the
last week and a half. MS has not saved all the new stuff for
Vista. They've been incorporating much of it all along, but there
are a whole bunch of brand new things that we've never seen
before "all in one place". About every other paragraph the book
says: Just because you CAN do such-and-so doesn't mean you SHOULD.
There are lots of security switches, lots of safeguards, etc, but
many of them are just plain bothersome. One of the things that the
book says is that there are kernels of every type of software you
would ever want in the operating system -- word processing,
spreadsheets, photo manipulation, audio and video playback, speech
recognition, security, video production, etc -- but that NONE of the
features in the operating system will replace the full-blown
software we've come to rely on in stand-alone packages. In other
words, you have minimal functinality with the new operating system,
and you'll still need to install Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel,
Picasa2, Roxio or Pinnacle, and a bunch of other full-featured
packages if you want to continue with the capabilities that you've
been enjoying. The bottom line of the book is: Vista isn't worth
the effort.
YMMV
