[AT] Red?

All you RED guys,

A friend is working on a "M" and needs to know how to
remove the bottom shaft out of the tranny.

The one end appears to connect to a hydraulic pump. 
It has pipe wrench marks on it. Do you remove it or
does the whole shaft come out.
