[Ford-ferguson] Ford 601 carb question

Jack, can you hold your hand on the coil..when it starts acting up?  Sounds 
like your brother is on the right track as so many times it's just the coil.

  Vented gas cap also comes to mind.

I'm fighting the same darn thing with a 292.
