Duane:
Jack Kreeger, one of the experts on the L series
tractors, lists Western Auto #47 bicycle bearings as a
replacement. However I followed up on this with
Western Auto and it is no longer being produced. The
#42 bearing in your notes sounds like it may be the a
good lead, possibly the same bearing, but do you have
a source that stocks and can actually supply it?

Brad:
As to your suggestion of the SKF bearing, I will take
this information, along with an old bearing that I
have, into our local bearing supply and see if it is
compatible. I had them search all of their possible
sources, including SKF, a few months ago and we could
not find anything that would work.

Over the years, I've had many suggestions of bearing
numbers, manufacturers, etc., but no one has actually
come up with a manufacturer or supplier from whom this
bearings is actually still in production or available.
