Dave;
The Amish here do not use electric starters on their engines. They use a
lot of diesels on their sawmills. Enos Wagler starts his Detroit 6-71 with a
belted Honda of 27 horsepower, then uses the honda engine on his resaw and
cutoff saw, run from a jackshaft. The only batteries they are permitted to
use are non rechargable batteries for flashlights and lights on their
buggies.
