[AT] Farmall Cub

OK its going to rain here (normally I'd say snow but we are under such a 
severe drought that rain is more unlikely)!

First off Rotigel comes aout and admits to owning a tractor and even 
specifies the brand. Must be running a fever today or something!

Second, I agree with his reccomendation of a Super A over a Cub.


Serously though, Dad retired from an IH dealer in '91. They sold tons of 
Cubs, Super A's etc. They also sold a bunch of Woods Mowers for them. They 
always reccomended the larger tractors for the 59" mowers. Their advice to 
anyone putting one under a Cub was to treat it as a big lawnmower and mow 
your grass weekly. Also, if the engine is lacking power on a Cub, you'll be 
hating life when its time to mow. The larger tractors will allow you to 
muddle through OK if they are down on power. The sad part is there are tons 
of lawn mowers built today that will leave a 140 sitting still! Bottom line, 
how big is your wallet, how much time do you have to mow, and must you do it 
with a tractor.

For the record Dad has a Cub with a 59" Woods. We completely rebuilt the 
engine and it does well.

Now if you've got something in the neigborhood of 45hp, go get an RM90 to 
mow with.
