Ivan,
Its definitely Allis Chalmers. The AC decal on the
tailgate gave that away. I wish I had taken pictures
before beginning this project but I'll see what I can
do to get pictures of it as it is now.
I had described it to an Allis guy and he had
told me it was a Bonanza and had told me it was rare.
Usually when I think I've got something rare 50
million miraculously show up, so the rarity part is up
in the air.
Thats as far as I had gotten with the information
seeking on it. I had begun cleaning and painting it
almost as soon as I got it home in hopes to get it out
and about at shows too attract attention and maybe
more info. about it. But I had run into some stumbling
blocks and other easier projects jumped ahead of it
and soon it became forgotten in the corner of the
shop.
Thanks for all the replies. I checked out the site
and put a posting on it as well. I'll see what I can
do about getting pictures up so you all can see what I
got.
