If it was malicious then your virus or other protection that you have would  
let you know about it. If you don't have protection then its your fault not 
the  fault of the sender.  Just get the character set and see what it  is.  You 
won't know until you do. Most likely its just some simple  thing that you 
won't even notice after you get the character set. And loading  the character set 
won't hurt your computer one bit it will only help you out in  the future 
should you need it again. The character set is on your Windows disk  it will tell 
you which one to use when you click install. 
 
Sorry to be so blunt about it but that's just the way I am.
