I don't know if it's available in your area but I've heard 
advertisements for clearwire wireless internet.
Thy say you can be mobile and if you are able to connect to clearwire 
you are good to go.
Not tried it myself as I have DSL and I no longer travel a lot.
Might be something to check out.
A local (Winston-Salem, NC) computer company is representing clearwire 
locally and the local company has a good reputation.
