Yes, even here in the frozen great white north I use a 50% mix of 
anti-freeze and water. And not just any water. Its always been rain 
water. Never have used the hard , mineral laden ground water that is so 
common here. Seems like it would plug up an engine block pretty solid.
Usually in the fall I will go and check the antifreeze in the engines to 
make sure it is strong enough to withstand temps down to -20F or so. If 
necessary at that time I will add some pure un-mixed antifreeze to 
strengthen the mix.
