[AT] Cub--shouldn't have broken my resolution....(Follow up)

OK George....what again is "WHEC"....something like Willer's Home for
Eccentric Cubs? Thanks for the mower manual which I successfully
downloaded. This afternoon I plan to take inventory of all the
rusted parts I brought home and see if there are enough to put
together. I don't know yet if I have the side lift rod and front
rock shaft. Doubt it because all I remember on the Cub is the
spring-loaded hand lift handle assembly--nothing under the gas tank
where he hydraulic unit is supposed to be. I saw there was a broken
mower part--a sizeable swivel knuckle on the end of a heavy
shaft. I'll know better after I study the manual you sent and all
the parts out back on the pallet. This is supposed to be one of the
early Cubs but I haven't taken time to get the serial number and look
up the year of production yet.
About a possible flaw in the casting between the steering box
and bottom radiator tank----I had similar suspicion due to the smell
of gear grease from the oil in the radiator water but I filled the
steering gear box with light oil and filled the radiator with water
and ran the Cub and drained it with no sign of the oil. Did that
several times so I'm going to assume it was grease dumped in the
radiator earlier. Hopefully! I'll let you know how it goes. John
