FYI I know of no email systems where the preauthorization is a
requirement.  It is almost always an "option".

Nah just kidding, I know how you feel, but I don't know if they have any
control over preauthorizing. I would have thought that by sending the
initial e-mail to you that would have cleared your e-mail address.
